MISSED LESSONS/CANCELLATION/UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES: Please read carefully. Your quarterly tuition reserves your time slot for all the dates listed on the studio schedule. Lessons which are cancelled by the instructor, and which cannot be rescheduled will be credited or refunded. Due to an extremely busy work schedule, there is no guarantee for make ups for missed lessons (48 hours must be given). A small number of make-up times are made available during regular teaching hours, when there are other cancellations. No Show's, no make-ups will be offered.

continuation of policy.

Like other educational institutions, Seaton Studios anticipate that students will be continuing their studies on an ongoing basis. In the event of termination of studies, notice is required four (4) weeks prior to termination. Any refunds of unused quarterly payment will be given solely at the discretion of the instructor and will only be considered (assuming four weeks’ notice is given) when the vacant time slot is refilled. Our suggestion is to finish out the quarter after giving notice.

UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES - bad weather, school closure or injuries such as broken bones*, long-term illnesses, etc., are handled the same way as a missed lesson/cancellation. *Depending on the extent of injury, lessons can be modified to fit each situation. This will keep the student engaged and in their studies. BEHAVIOR Students are expected to be always respectful and well-behaved. Abuse of studio facilities or equipment will not be tolerated. Students are not allowed access to house or yard areas outside the studio without prior permission. Any children remaining in the reception area must be supervised by a parent or other adult. Students MUST bring their music books andassignment to each lesson. A lesson may be cancelled if the student does not bring his/her music and assignment.

DAILY PRACTICE Students are expected to set aside an adequate amount of time for daily practice (at least 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the age and proficiency of the student). Students are required to prepare ALL assigned pieces and exercises. For younger students, parental involvement is vital to ensure that quantity and quality of their children’s practice time. Continued failure to prepare for lessons may result in dismissal from the studio.

Proper fitted instrument is required for all string students. Fingernails must be kept short to ensure proper hand position.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I have read and understand the policies stated above. Payment of tuition constitutes my agreement to comply with these policies.
